World's Largest Crochet Hook
  • The World's Largest Crochet Hook is located at the Yarn Studio/Farmer's Wife at 2 East Main Street in Casey, Illinois.

  • There was no record for a crochet hook, so our hook has to be 10 times larger than a traditional hook.

  • Our hook measures 6 feet and 1.5 inches in length.  It is 3 inches in diameter, and it weighs 9 pounds.

  • World's largest certification was gained on May 20, 2013.

  • In order to qualify, the Hook had to be used to crochet a 10 x 10 tension square.

  • The Hook is made of white pine boards laminated together for strength.

  • The Hook was carved with a chainsaw and then sanded to a smooth finish.

  • Verse:   Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.  Colossians 3:23
